Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and an emphasis on safety and accuracy in all tasks.
Duties
* Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload materials from lorries and storage areas.
* Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory management.
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
* Assist with materials handling, including stacking, storing, and organising products within the warehouse.
* Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and locations.
* Engage in heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs.
* Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as materials handling techniques.
* Basic maths skills for inventory management and record keeping.
* Previous experience with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift while maintaining safety standards.
