HGV Class 1 Driver - Part-time
People Solutions are looking for a part-time Class 1 Driver to work for our client in Tamworth.
If you are Class 1 Driver looking for extra hours, flexible working or just looking a few days a week, this is perfect for you.
Shifts:
Friday - Sunday
Day shifts - early starts
Rates of pay:
Basic: £16.00 per hour
Friday: £19.50 per hour
Sunday: £20.50 per hour

Day-to-day duties:
As a Class 1 Driver , your duties will include (but not be limited to):
Carrying out RDC or brewery deliveries (curtain-side, no handball required)
Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from NDCs and hubs
Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required
Essential skills:
To be successful as a Class 1 Driver , you will need:
A valid UK Category CE licence
A minimum of 18 months experience driving CE vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
A valid UK CPC card and Digi card
Good spoken and written English
Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills
A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills
Desirable experience:
Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training:
Driver's assessment must be completed before starting
A one-day paid induction will follow successful assessment
