HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER – SOLIHULL People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Solihull, West Midlands .

Shifts Monday to Sunday – 5 out of 7 Start times between 03:00 and 06:00 Rates of Pay Monday to Friday: £17.00 per hour Saturday: £18.00 per hour Sunday: £19.00 per hour Benefits Excellent hourly rates Ongoing, consistent work Weekly pay Overtime available On-site canteen, vending machines, and pool tables Full training provided Temporary to permanent opportunity Immediate starts No weekend working Early finish on Fridays Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include (but not be limited to): Safely operating and driving Category CE vehicles Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring all cargo is loaded securely and safely Adhering to UK traffic laws and safety regulations Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers Maintaining accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery paperwork Reporting any defects or maintenance issues immediately Assisting with loading and unloading where required Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need: A valid UK Category CE licence Minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience No more than six penalty points (no major endorsements) Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card Ability to read and speak English to a safe working level Experience operating various trailer types Excellent punctuality and time-keeping skills Strong communication skills Flexibility to work overtime when required Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Desirable Experience Previous commercial vehicle driving experience is beneficial Training Full industry-related training and ongoing support are provided Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver , apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more. xbpsjku
