Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Duties

* Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver goods to clients and customers.

* Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise time and fuel efficiency.

* Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.

* Communicate clearly with clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays.

* Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.

* Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met.

* Follow all traffic laws and company policies during deliveries.

* Assist in warehouse tasks when not on the road, including organising stock and preparing goods for dispatch.

Responsibilities

* Delivery & Installation: Safely deliver and install medical equipment in the homes of elderly and vulnerable clients.

* Heavy Lifting: Ability to manage and handle heavy lifting as part of the equipment installation process.

* Communication: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring clients are informed and comfortable with the installation process.

* On-Call & Flexibility: Flexibility is essential, as the role will include on-call duties and weekends on a rotating 1-in-7-week schedule.

Requirements:

* Experience: Prior experience in a similar role, such as in medical or homecare delivery, is highly desirable.

* DBS Check: A valid DBS check is required.

* References: Ability to provide 2 professional references.

* Physical Fitness: Must be comfortable with heavy lifting and manual tasks.

* Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills, with an empathetic and professional approach.

* Good organisational skills for route planning and documentation management.

* Physical fitness to handle the demands of loading, unloading, and prolonged periods of driving.

* Valid driving licence
