The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to customers, ensuring full compliance with road traffic legislation and company procedures.This is a multi-drop delivery role.Working hours are 52 per week, Monday to Friday, from 5:30am until 4:45pm daily. If drivers return to the site early, and there are no further deliveries to carry out they are able to finish earlier than 4.45pm.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out multi-drop deliveries in a safe, timely and professional manner.Ensure all deliveries are unloaded safely at customer premises and that proofs of deliveries are signed and returned promptly.Conduct daily vehicle checks prior to use and ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean, safe and roadworthy condition.Verify load security and correct weight distribution before departure and after each drop, in line with current safe working practices.Follow fuel-efficient driving practices.Identify and report potential health and safety hazards proactively.RequirementsValid HGV licence for the appropriate vehicle class.Valid Driver CPC (DCPC).Previous experience within a warehousing, steel or distribution environment.Experience in multi-drop deliveries.Good understanding of health, safety and environmental (EHS) requirements within a warehouse, steel or distribution setting.Ability to read and interpret written instructions and accurately complete required documentation.Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn internal systems.Experience working within a flexible, results-oriented team environment.What We OfferIn addition to a competitive salary, we offer an attractive benefits package including:Life assuranceContributory pension scheme (5% employee contribution matched by the company)Retail and restaurant discount schemesGym and health club discountsHoliday trading schemeCycle to Work schemeMedicash healthcare programmeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeLifetime financial wellbeing supportPlease note: Due to the safety-critical nature of our operations, pre-employment, random and incident related drug and alcohol testing is conducted.
